The parts of a faceted stone
| Table
| The largest facet of the stone - its flat top surface, also called the ‘face'. |
| Crown
| The uppermost part of the stone, reaching from table to the middle-line of the stone. |
| Girdle
| The equatorial line of the stone, dividing the bottom and top parts. |
| Pavilion
| The bottom part of the stone, from girdle down. |
| Culet
| The lowest tip of the stone, normally filed into a point. |
