Titanium is a relatively new addition to the world of jewelry making, but it is a good choice for many reasons. White-silver in color, it has a clean metal finish and it's more affordable than precious gold or platinum. Unlike gold, it's also very lightweight and suitable for other accessories, such a glass-frames, watches and so forth. It is also extremely hardy, and titanium will neither rust nor react to sunlight or heat, it is hypoallergenic and durable over time. Used in combination with 14K gold or even higher karats the titanium will take on the golden color and be indistinguishable from regular, alloyed gold.
